In June Year 4 children participate in the multiplication tables check (MTC). The purpose of the check is to determine whether your child can fluently recall their times tables up to 12, which is essential for future success in mathematics. It will also help your child’s school to identify if your child may need additional support.
Children are able to practise a version of the tables check prior to sitting the online test. Please find below a parental information booklet for your information. If you have any questions about the test please do not hesitate to contact your child's class teacher.
