Welcome from our
School Council

Welcome to our school! We are the School Council at Brinscall St John’s CE/Methodist Primary School, and we’re thrilled to share a little bit about who we are and what makes our school so special! Elected by our classes, we are proud to represent the children’s voice, and we genuinely want every child to feel at home here.

From the moment your child joins our school, they will be welcomed with open arms and supported in making lots of friends. We believe that school should be a place where learning is exciting and enjoyable!

What People Say

What People Say

  • OFSTED

    2024

The school prioritises the happiness and well-being of the pupils in its care. Pupils said that adults listen carefully to them if they have any worries. Pupils are kind to each other and they enjoy coming into school every day.
  • Parent

    Year 5

We had a wonderful time grazing and colouring with our child. The treats were delicious. Thanks for organising the event.
  • SIAMS

    2024

The school’s deeply valued Methodist and Anglican heritage shapes a vision that radiates its biblical foundations and directs leaders’ actions. Reflective evaluations of the vision's effectiveness enable leaders to hone their decision-making resulting in flourishing for all.
  • OFSTED

    2024

In early years, children settle quickly into school routines. They learn how to share and take turns. Children are prepared well for the demands of key stage 1.
  • Grandparent

    Year 3

It was very good to come into school into such a welcoming atmosphere, and a good change to talk to fathers and grandfather’s!
  • OFSTED

    2024

All pupils have opportunities to take part in a range of clubs and activities, such as sports, art and music. Pupils enjoy a wealth of opportunities to contribute to school life. For example, they develop their leadership skills through acting as school councillors and buddies for younger pupils.
  • Parent

    Year 2

These events at school are enjoyable both for the children and families.
  • SIAMS

    2024

Impressive relationships throughout the school community reflect the vision to be a loving ‘school family’. This results in a culture of belonging where individuals are cherished, nurtured and celebrated. Sensitive and personalised support for vulnerable pupils, including those going through difficult times, leads to transformational outcomes.
  • Grandparent

    Year 1

What a lovely opportunity to spend time with my granddaughters in their school environment! Had a great time doing activities and eating cake! Thank you for organising it. (National Grandparents Day)
