Welcome to the Reception area of our school website.
Welcome to Year R, where your journey in our school beings. Mrs Pearce is our reception teacher, supported by Mrs Holding. Mrs Hill teaches in reception on a Tuesday afternoon.
Within Reception we learn through play, inside and outside, so please provide your child with wellies to leave in school and ensure they have a coat every day.

Homework
In Reception, homework is sent home every Thursday and is due back in on Tuesday. Our homework mostly consists of phonics, reading and writing. This gives the children the best start in recognising the letters both inside and outside of school.
Homework also includes reading. We appreciate every day you are able to read with your children.
In writing, we follow the Red Rose scheme. Please find below the attached writing formation examples.
