It is my absolute pleasure to welcome you to Brinscall St John’s CE/Methodist Primary School – a one form entry school with a big heart, where every child is known, valued and encouraged to “Shine with the Light of Jesus.”
Nestled in the beautiful village of Brinscall, our school is a happy, friendly and vibrant place where children are at the heart of everything we do. From the moment you walk through our doors, we hope you feel the warmth, care and strong sense of family that make Brinscall St John’s such a special place to learn and grow.
Our Christian vision, “Shine with the Light of Jesus,” runs through every part of school life. We want every child to discover their strengths, develop their talents and have the confidence to let their light shine. Our values of Kindness, Respect, Resilience, Courage, Friendship and Forgiveness help our children understand not only how to be successful learners, but how to become thoughtful, compassionate and responsible members of their community.
We are incredibly proud of our children and have high expectations for every one of them. We provide a broad, ambitious and exciting curriculum that builds strong knowledge and skills while nurturing curiosity, creativity and a genuine love of learning. We believe primary school should be full of memorable experiences, so learning at Brinscall St John’s extends far beyond the classroom. Sport, music, creativity, leadership, residentials, clubs, visitors, trips, community projects and opportunities to make a difference all contribute to the rich experience we want every child to enjoy.
Most importantly, we know our children. We recognise that every child arrives with different strengths, interests and needs, and we work hard to ensure that everyone feels safe, included and able to succeed. We want our children to leave us not only well prepared for the next stage of their education, but as confident, resilient young people who believe in themselves and care about the world around them.
Community is at the heart of Brinscall St John’s. Our strong relationships with families, our local churches and the wider community enrich school life enormously. We see education as a partnership and value the trust families place in us. Together, we want our children to feel that they belong to something special.
