Core Values

At Brinscall St John’s we aim to provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment in which our children can learn and experience a broad, balanced and exciting curriculum.  It is our belief that all children are precious in God’s sight and we are committed to provide the highest quality of education for all our children in a caring, positive atmosphere based firmly upon Christian values.

Our school community have selected six core values (Love, Stewardship, Forgiveness, Faith, Determination and Serving Others) which we focus upon throughout the year and link these to other values through gospel stories and worship.

We wholeheartedly adopt the ethos that every child does matter and believe that we can inspire all members of our school community to achieve their full potential by providing an environment which is dedicated to creating a love of learning within a Christian context.

Please see the Christian Distinctiveness area of our website for further information about our school's vision, mission, aims and values.

Living Our Values in Daily Life

We are always keen to learn about things children have been doing at home, and to hear about the ways they have been living out their faith, Christian and British Values. As part of our parental questionnaire, some parents have asked how they can let us know about how their children have been shining through their actions, including outside of school. We feel it is important that these occasions are celebrated in school too.  Families are welcome to email Mrs Clayton ( so that she can celebrate this news in school with the children involved too, and present a special Golden Certificate to them.
